Language Fair French Competitions Form 2022

Registered schools/teachers will receive a submission link via email on March 20th to upload submissions. The link will be open for submissions until 5:00 PM, March 25th.

Novice Competition

Prepared Recitation: Teachers will have the opportunity to choose the readings for their students. Each reading, be it prose or poetry, must be between 15 and 20 lines. It also must be memorized and recited with feeling and emotion not just read by rote. Please provide a copy of the poem when submitting your recording and form. 

Each recitation should be no longer than 2 minutes. Recitations will be evaluated on language assuredness/fluency, pronunciation, feeling and memorization.

Intermediate Competitions

Intermediate known play: Students will prepare a short drama to perform. The videotaped performance will be  uploaded on youtube and the link should be provided in this document.  Student performances should be no longer than 10 minutes and must be memorized. The teacher must email a copy of the play or provide a link to the copy of the play or upload the recording for the judges in this form. Student performances will be evaluated on language assuredness/fluency, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary usage, and preparedness. ***Only one group from each school at each level please. There are no restrictions for the group size.

Student performances will be evaluated on language assuredness/fluency, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary usage, and preparedness. ***Only one group from each school for the Intermediate and Advanced plays.  There are no restrictions for the group size.
